Abby Wolff-Smith is the co-founding director of C.A.T. She is an actor combatant, fight director and devising artist who has always loved physical storytelling. She is also a scholar whose research lies in the ethnographic study of stage combat and how it can be integrated into traditional pedagogical methods in Western theatre. She fell in love with stage combat when she took her first class at twelve years old. Over a decade later, Abby is a certified actor combatant with Fight Directors Canada and has fight directed for stage and film in Kansas City, Missouri and Lubbock, Texas. Her passion can be found in making new work that challenges artists and audiences alike to look at theatre differently.
